Step One
If you have any questions before booking, please feel free to reach out by phone, email or my contact form. I’m a bit old-school and love to just pick up the phone and chat, so we can get to know each other properly and I can answer any questions that come up in conversation. If you feel the same, you can book in a Discovery Consultation to ensure we catch each other at a suitable time.
When you’re ready to book, simply confirm via phone or email. We will find a date that suits you, a small session fee secures your booking, and you’re all set.
Step Two
Once you’re booked, I’ll send you a confirmation email with everything you need to feel prepared, including your session details, studio information and guidance on what to bring.
A planning appointment prior to your photo shoot gives us the opportunity to chat about the finer details, from what to wear and location options, to timing around little ones and anything else you’d like to ask. Every family is different, so this is our chance to plan a session that feels just right for you.
By the time your session arrives, you’ll know exactly what to expect, leaving you free to simply enjoy the experience.

Step Three
This is where the real fun begins!
You don’t need to worry about knowing how to pose or keeping everyone perfectly still. In fact, some of my favourite photographs happen in the moments between the smiles.
I’ll gently guide you throughout the session while leaving plenty of room for natural moments to unfold. Whether your toddler wants to explore, your baby needs an extra cuddle or your dog has a mind of their own, we’ll work with the moment rather than against it.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s creating photographs that feel like your family.
Step Four
Around one to two weeks after your session, we meet again in my studio in Emerald for an Ordering Session, to view your photographs for the very first time.
This is one of my favourite parts of the entire experience!
Together we’ll select your favourite portraits and discuss the artwork that best suits your home. Whether you’re looking for a statement piece for the wall, beautifully framed prints or a heirloom album to enjoy for years to come, I’ll guide you through the options and help you choose what feels right for your family.
There’s no pressure and no guesswork, just thoughtful guidance to help you make the most of your photographs.

Step Five
Once your artwork has been professionally crafted, it’s time to bring your photographs home.
There’s something special about walking past the people and pets you love every day. A framed portrait in the hallway. A collection of memories in the living room. The photographs your children will grow up seeing, and one day treasure in ways you can’t yet imagine.
Your photographs deserve more than a place on a hard drive. They deserve a place in your home, where they can be enjoyed every day and grow more meaningful with time.
